Controversy Surrounds Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci Over Drug Use and Alleged Connections
Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, a renowned 27-year-old Nigerian chef, found herself embroiled in an unexpected online controversy after a netizen made alarming accusations on Instagram. The user, mrpresidentgarry, raised accusations against Hilda Baci regarding her recent accomplishment of completing a 100-hour cook-a-thon to set a record.
In his post, mrpresidentgarry claimed that Hilda Baci resorted to using hard drugs to secure her victory. Specifically, he accused her of being a potential user of the highly addictive substance known as “ice” or crystal meth. The accuser pointed out that the well-known restaurant and food blogger, who was previously more on the heavier side, had suddenly slimmed down. He further criticized Hilda Baci for allegedly using her physical attributes to establish connections with influential individuals, including the governor.
Calling on Guinness World Records to investigate the matter, mrpresidentgarry stated his lack of support for Hilda Baci. He emphasized that she did not participate in the competition with a clear mind and suggested that she was under the influence of drugs. He also urged people to look at her past pictures to observe the transformation. The post ended with a derogatory reference to her character and a call for her disqualification from representing Nigerian youth, stating that a woman with good character and cooking skills is what they consider a queen, unlike what they perceive Hilda Baci to be.
