Wild Night Out: Happie Boys nearly landed in hospital after drinking bottles of Azul at club

Two former security guards, Matthew Precious Kelechi and Amakor Johnson, who were relocated to Cyprus for educational purposes, found themselves in a compromising situation when a video of them shutting down a nightclub surfaced online. The footage showed the two young men visibly intoxicated, swaying unsteadily and consuming copious amounts of Azul, a popular alcoholic beverage.

In the video, Matthew continued to indulge in more alcoholic drinks, clearly unable to control himself when it was time to leave the venue. The person who captured the incident urged Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere of Omega Power Ministries, who had sponsored their education, to redirect the funds elsewhere. Weeks earlier, the duo had announced via Instagram that they would not be returning to Nigeria, offering an apology for previously mentioning the pastor in their post.

This video quickly became a topic of great interest among Nigerians, prompting a flurry of reactions in the comment section where people shared their opinions on the matter. Some of the comments reflected varying sentiments:

xpensivefatima: “This boys matter tire me. Pls stop posting them.” quiddyofficial: “They call them happy boys for a reason.” endylight1: “Reason why they are called Happy boys, pastor go just they one side they shout God forbid.” kennedyexcel: “Na Wetin free drink dey cause, Dem don go drink that fake azul wey dem use snap picture.” sister._of._five: “So what do you people expect?? People were sacked for being incompetent at work, dancing when they were meant to be on guard, but as usual una think say na dem be the victims, come carry dem abroad as compensation. You never see anything.” unapologetic_sina: “Village people really finish work for these boys head… It’s well.”

The reactions clearly demonstrate the diverse perspectives and mixed emotions evoked by the actions of Matthew and Amakor. The incident serves as a reminder of the consequences that can arise from irresponsible behavior, and it has become a subject of public scrutiny and discussion.
