Isiokpo, State of Rivers – Senator Godswill Akpabio and Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State got into a furious argument during the funeral service of Dr. Herbert Wigwe, the former CEO of Access Holdings, along with his wife Doreen Chizoba and first son Chizzy.
Governor Fubara questioned the goal of the nation’s leaders’ ceaseless power struggles and chastised them for their aggressive tactics in a video shared by X user @kc_journalist.
In response to Fubara, Senate President Akpabio related an earlier experience in which he was discouraged from seeking the deputy governorship because of the position’s lack of financial advantages.
According to sources, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, reaffirmed his camp’s allegiance to the peace agreement that President Bola Tinubu had started by expressing his commitment to peace in Rivers State.
During a visit to the monarch in the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Wike gave the Oba of Ogbaland, Eze Nnam Obi III, an assurance that he would endeavor to settle the dispute with Fubara.
