The well-known artist Davido has talked about his opinions on afrobeats and how he distinguishes the popular music genre from R&B.
Do you recall how Wizkid objected to being called an afrobeat musician? When his song was released, he advised afrobeat music lovers not to listen to it.
An old video of Davido being asked to distinguish between R&B and afrobeats has appeared online.
The performer mentioned R&B artists Chike and Johnny Drille and claimed that some of his tracks are R&B.
According to him, the term “Afrobeats” refers to African musicians rather than a particular musical genre or style.
He also brought up the hip-hop musician Odumodublvck, who was born in Africa and is classified as an Afrobeat artist despite being a straight drill artist.
Back in the day, Fela invented the first Afrobeat sound.
“Wizkid also mentioned that they called him impolite,” Realest said. Their mother still suggested that they drink milk.
“Afrobeats is secure with 001,” your partner declared.”I’ve heard that someone without talent carries Afrobeat on their head 😂😂,” stated the speaker.
“The fact that this video is old with so much wisdom and knowledge,” Perpys said.
