Bobrisky Launches Campaign Against Naira Abuse Following Release from Prison

Idris Okuneye, better known by his stage name Bobrisky, is a controversial crossdresser. He was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Monday, and he asked his supporters to follow the law and refrain from throwing money at parties.

After being imprisoned for six months for misusing naira after spraying it during a gathering, Bobrisky was eventually released. After being freed, Bobrisky stated, “Follow the rules, abide by the law,” in an interview with GoldMyneTV. Save your money unless you plan to become a landlord in Kirikiri. Something light like this can get you there; it’s not just about killing or any other illegal behaviour, he continued.

All I can think about is my friends, and how appreciative I am of them. I’m not considering anyone else right now. Hours after his release, Bobrisky threw a release party, as shown in a video that is circulating right now. PUNCH According to Metro, on April 12, 2024, the crossdresser was found guilty of misusing the naira and given a six-month prison sentence. Bobrisky said, “My Lord, I wish that you could give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money,” during his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Lagos. “I’ll make a video and post it on my page to inform people about money spraying.” My Lord, I will not do this again. I’m sorry for what I did, Lord. Bobrisky was reportedly treated similarly to other prisoners when he was placed in a detention facility following the verdict.

The crossdresser was screened upon admission, according to a senior facility official who talked with our correspondent on condition of anonymity because he was not permitted to discuss the subject. The official stated that the results of the examination showed the prisoner had neither genital or gender realignment. “Bobrisky made a public declaration that he was a male,” the source claimed, adding that court procedures are public information. Each prisoner admitted to a facility undergoes an examination.

After a thorough examination, there was no evidence of genital or gender realignment. The biological characteristics of men were the same. Following that, he was given a cell and was accompanied by a specific number of other prisoners. He was also given a bed place. It resembles a boarding home where your personal possessions are assigned by your housemaster.
