Award-winning Afrobeat artist Ayodeji Balogun, often known as Wizkid, has sparked outrage on social media with a series of tweets directed at his “opps” (rivals). In a now-deleted tweet on the X (previously Twitter), the artist announced his wish to meet with his adversaries in Lagos. “Otw in Lagos. I pray I run into my opps!”!” he said before deleting the post after nearly an hour.

The remarks drew passionate reactions on social media, with fans and analysts speculating on who he was referring to. While some saw it as a strong proclamation of industry supremacy, others have advocated for reconciliation and a renewed focus on music. Other deleted tweets by Wizkid
