Award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage offers an unexpected insight into her romantic life by acknowledging that she does not consider infidelity to be a deal breaker.
The “African Bad Gyal” said on the Spotify Receipts Podcast that she had forgiven all of her cheating partners.
“I’ve been cheated on before. I found out and forgave every time. Every man I’ve ever been with has cheated, and I’ve never left them because of it.
I’ve left for other reasons, but not because they cheated. Cheating is not my hill,” Tiwa revealed.
Tiwa made it clear that although she can put up with adultery, she stressed that disrespect and dishonesty are harder to put up with.
Additionally, the singer made the case that adultery has long been a feature of society, saying,
“I know you say it’s bad that we’ve gotten to a point where cheating isn’t a deal-breaker. But I feel like we’ve always been here—even back in the day, even going back to the Bible and history.”
Online debates have been triggered by Tiwa’s frank comments, with some applauding her candor and others disputing her opinions on loyalty and partnerships.
