VeryDarkMan, a well-known internet celebrity, is receiving criticism on social media for saying that just ₦20 million of the ₦180 million that was taken from his non-profit organization’s website is left. “I haven’t been myself for the past few days,”
VeryDarkMan stated in a recent video that went viral on X (previously Twitter). I’m not sure how they did it, but someone broke into the NGO website and took ₦180 million.
This disclosure follows weeks after he declared the founding of his non-governmental organization to enhance Nigeria’s educational system.
He made his bank account information public after the announcement, which enabled hundreds of Nigerians—including a number of celebrities—to contribute millions of naira to the cause.
But almost a month later, VeryDarkMan disclosed that the NGO’s website had reportedly been hacked, resulting in the theft of ₦180 million of the ₦200 million raised.
Many people on social media have expressed suspicion over his comments, accusing him of lying and undermining his authority.
