The Senior Pastor of The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, warned that fake pastors would receive judgment on earth even before they die. Addressing his congregation in Akure, Ondo State, on Sunday, Pastor Giwa stressed that God would not allow anyone who misleads others into His name to escape punishment.
The fiery preacher condemned the alleged trend of labelling some of the most eminent Nigerian pastors as fake, warning that accusations of that nature come from confusion and outright demonic manipulation. “You say Adeboye is fake, Kumuyi is fake, Oyedepo is fake — so who then was called by God?” he queried. “That’s the deception of the devil.”
According to Pastor Giwa, social media, by design, has become an avenue through which satanic forces operate to first put a shadow of doubt on the true servants of God and thereby weaken the faith of the believers. He further urged Christians not to become tools in the hands of the devil by spreading lies about men of God.
The Pastor underlined that while false ministers exist, it is a task not given to any believer to judge them: “Their works will judge them before they die.” He also warned that one will not find lasting comfort on social media, and the brief joy gained from it can never replace real comfort from the Word of God. Backing his stand with James 4:4, he stated, “A friend of the world is an enemy of God,” warning that social media addiction takes one away from the presence of God.
