Veteran rapper M.I Abaga has finally come clean about his regret for supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2015 general elections.
In a recent episode of the Menism Podcast, the ‘African Rapper No. 1’ revealed that he initially supported APC out of frustration with what he described as the corruption in the PDP-led government at the time.
“Yes, I supported APC because I felt PDP was corrupt. I used my voice to say let’s bring change,” M.I stated.

The Tweet That Reignited the Fire
According to M.I, things got even messier when he tweeted about the herdsmen attacks in Benue State. Instead of getting support, people came for him hard.
“I tweeted about what happened in Benue and people reminded me, ‘But M.I, you supported APC.’”
He admitted that looking back now, the party no longer reflects the hopes he had in 2015.
“APC, unfortunately, isn’t the APC of my dreams. Sometimes we get it wrong, even with good intentions,” he said.
Omo this one hit different — especially coming from someone who once believed in change
