Inter Milan have reportedly submitted a new bid to sign Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, from Atalanta, but the deal is still hanging in the balance.
According to trusted transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Italian giants have offered €40 million plus €5 million in add-ons, hoping to tempt Atalanta into letting go of their in-form attacker. But omo, La Dea no gree!
Sources claimed that Atalanta rejected the offer, insisting they want nothing less than €50 million upfront to even consider selling the Nigerian star. And with how hot Lookman has been lately, they’re clearly not in a hurry to lower their price. Business na business!
But here’s the juicy part — Lookman is reportedly very open to the move. In fact, he’s already agreed personal termswith Inter Milan, which means if both clubs sort out the money matter, the deal could be done and dusted in no time.
Omo this is going to hot! The 26-year-old has been in top form, especially after his Europa League heroics with Atalanta, where he bagged a sensational hat-trick in the final. No surprise Inter want to bring that firepower to the San Siro.
Reports say the Nerazzurri are keen to wrap up the transfer this week, especially as pre-season preparations intensify. They see Lookman as a key attacking addition that could boost their title challenge and make waves in Europe.
But until Atalanta lower their asking price — or Inter raise the offer — the saga continues.
