Popular Nigerian comedian, Sabinus, is not smiling at all as he took to his social media platform to vent his frustration over what he described as the reckless and brainless driving style of commercial Keke Napep drivers across Nigeria.

In a fiery rant that has since gone viral, the content creator passionately called on the government to intervene and “talk to these people” before things get even worse on the roads.

Omo this one pain am wella!

Sabinus didn’t mince words. He claimed that the moment someone buys a Keke in Nigeria, it’s almost as if they leave their brain behind at the dealership and take the tricycle home with zero driving ethics.

In his words:

“Omo nothing wey person wan tell me. Once you buy keke for this Nigeria say you wan be keke driver, e be like say the company wey sell the keke to you dey tell you say drop your sense with us, collect the keke dey go, cause no keke driver head correct. Buy keke and drop your sense. God abeg. Government, talk to this people o. Jesus is Lord! Keke cannot be patient for a second. Everything we dey avoid for road. Keke we dey avoid for road…”

Omo this rant no be small one oo! You can literally feel the frustration in his voice. 😂

His post immediately stirred reactions from fans and fellow Nigerians, many of whom agreed with him, saying they too had encountered near-death experiences thanks to the recklessness of some tricycle operators.

Some commenters even joked that driving near a Keke is like playing survival mode in real life, while others called for proper regulation and driver education before issuing commercial permits.

Sabinus’ rant might sound funny — as expected from a comedian — but behind the humor lies a serious issue many road users can relate to.

Should government start mandating mental and driving tests before issuing tricycles for commercial use?

Well, Naija Twitter is already divided.
