Festus Keyamo Condemns Release of Viral Ibom Air Passenger Video, Orders Probe

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has broken his silence over the viral video involving Comfort Emmanson, a female passenger on an Ibom Air flight, who was captured physically assaulting a flight staff and security personnel.

In a tweet posted on X (formerly Twitter), Keyamo condemned the public release of the video, which showed indecent exposure of Emmanson during the altercation. He directed that the person responsible for leaking the footage should be identified and sanctioned.

“The Police has promptly arraigned her this morning at the Ikeja Magistrates Court for criminal offences and remanded her at Kirikiri Prisons as she could not provide adequate sureties in court,” Keyamo stated.

Lifetime Flight Ban and Court Case

According to the minister, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has banned Emmanson indefinitely from flying within Nigeria. She has also been charged to court and is currently remanded in Kirikiri Prison after failing to meet bail conditions.
