Nyon, Switzerland – UEFA has officially released its latest ranking of the best football leagues in Europe as the 2025/26 season kicks off this August — and the Premier League has maintained its crown as number one.
According to the update published on UEFA’s website, the English top-flight holds first place based on their five-season club coefficient ranking, which measures how clubs from each country perform in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League over the last five years.

Coming in second place is Italy’s Serie A, which continues to grow stronger after recent impressive European runs. Spain’s LaLiga sits in third place, followed closely by Germany’s Bundesliga in fourth, and France’s Ligue 1rounding out the top five.
