An alleged acquaintance of Nigerian dance queen, Kafayat Shafau, popularly known as Kaffy, has stirred controversy after claiming that the reason men are reluctant to marry her goes beyond her being a single mother.

The mother of two recently appeared on the Honest Bunch Podcast, where she discussed her childhood, her experiences as a single mother, and why she remains unmarried. During the chat, Kaffy explained that men often stigmatize her because of her status, which she believes has reduced her chances of finding a partner.

Shortly after her podcast appearance, an X user identified as @CollinsUma countered her claims, alleging that his personal encounter with the choreographer left him with a negative impression.
According to him, the problem isn’t her status as a single mother but rather her demeanor and attitude.
He recounted:
“No, sweetheart, that’s not the reason. We were working on a project together one time and she warned me seriously that I must always call her Dr Kaffy. Spoke to me, a 40+ man, like I was her child. Me that was coordinating a big aspect of the project.”
