It was a busy Friday in Castellón, as Villarreal officially announced the exits of Denis Suárez and Yeremy Pino from their first-team squad.
Denis Suárez – contract terminated
For Suárez, the news comes as little surprise. The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder had long been expected to move on, with boss Marcelino not counting on him for the 2025/26 season. Villarreal have now confirmed the mutual termination of his contract, bringing an end to his second spell at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
Yeremy Pino – Crystal Palace move sealed 🦅
Hot on the heels of Suárez’s departure came another major announcement: Yeremy Pino is leaving for the Premier League.
The 22-year-old winger had been heavily linked with Crystal Palace, with reports suggesting he was identified as a replacement for Eberechi Eze. Villarreal have now made it official, confirming that Pino will join the Eagles ahead of the new campaign.
A club statement read:
“Villarreal CF and Crystal Palace have reached an agreement for the transfer of Yeremy Pino, who will join the English side ahead of the 2025/26 season.”
