Controversial Nigerian street-hop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred massive outrage online after mocking the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari in a video that’s now gone viral.

Omo, this one loud — Portable no hold back at all!

Reacting to Buhari’s passing in London on July 13, the singer accused the late president of ordering the 2020 Lekki Toll Gate shooting during the #EndSARS protests — a dark chapter that still triggers national trauma.

In the video, Portable said:

“The man that said they should shoot our people at the Lekki Still Gate is dead. Let us do good. May he die again in Heaven. He was the one that ordered the shooting, not Tinubu.”

Omo! That line alone don scatter everywhere.

He captioned the video with:

“Do good because of tomorrow…..”

Portable, known for his no-filter style and viral rants, used the moment to preach that people should act right while alive, because death doesn’t erase consequences.

His remarks have sparked intense reactions on social media — while some praised his boldness, others called him disrespectful and insensitive, especially considering Nigeria is in national mourning.

The Lekki Toll Gate massacre remains one of Nigeria’s most controversial and painful moments, with many still demanding accountability and justice.
