Barcelona may have started their La Liga title defense with a victory, but behind the scenes, head coach Hansi Flick is far from satisfied.

According to Diario Sport, the German tactician has grown increasingly concerned about the mentality and attitude of his squad going into the new season.

The Blaugrana picked up all three points against RCD Mallorca on Saturday night, but the performance clearly left their manager frustrated. Speaking to the media after the full-time whistle at Son Moix, Flick did not hold back:

“I am not happy with the way we played the 2nd-half. My team played at 50% to 60%, and this is not acceptable against nine men. I need to speak to the players.”

Omo, this one serious o! For a coach known for his high standards, Flick’s comments show just how worried he is about the team’s focus.

And it’s not just about the Mallorca match. Reports suggest Flick has been uneasy since pre-season. According to Sport:

“Flick has been a bit worried during the pre-season. The German coach is not confident in how the team is and believes that there could be some relaxation in a squad that looks far superior to the rivals, especially in La Liga.”

In other words, the coach fears his players might already be underestimating their opponents, relying too much on their talent instead of maintaining intensity.

Omo, Barça fans no go like this gist o! Because while victories matter, Flick knows that complacency could cost big games, especially in Europe where competition is tougher.

With stars like Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, Gavi, and İlkay Gündoğan in the squad, Barcelona clearly have the quality. But as Flick has warned, mentality and consistency will decide if they can retain the La Liga crown — and push further in the Champions League.
