Life at Barcelona is never easy for young midfielders, and this season, it’s Marc Casadó’s turn to feel the heat.

According to journalist Helena Condis (COPE), the 21-year-old has been told straight up that his playing time will be limited under Hansi Flick during the 2025/26 campaign.

Premier League Clubs Watching

Despite his lack of guaranteed minutes, Casadó is not short of admirers.

Transfer insider Matteo Moretto (Marca) confirms that both West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing him as a potential late-window signing.

It’s understood that both English sides believe the Spanish U21 international could thrive in the Premier League, especially given his ball-winning abilities and tactical awareness.

Casadó’s Response

But here’s where it gets interesting — despite knowing minutes will be scarce, Casadó has told the Barcelona board he only wants to stay and fight for his spot.

Helena Condis sums it up simply:

“Marc Casadó has been told he will have few minutes.”

Yet, the youngster is not deterred, showing the kind of determination Barça fans love to see.

What Next?

With the window still open, it remains to be seen whether Barcelona will push Casadó towards a loan move to gain experience, or keep him as depth in midfield.

For now, though, the player’s message is clear: he wants to succeed in Blaugrana colours, no matter the odds.
