Out of the picture at Chelsea, Axel Disasi (27) could be on his way back to AS Monaco, according to reports from Foot Mercato.

The French defender, who joined Chelsea two summers ago, has struggled to lock down a regular spot. Last season, he spent the second half on loan at Aston Villa, but even that spell has not guaranteed him a future at Stamford Bridge.

Now, omo this one dey twist o, reports claim Aston Villa are not completely out of the race — they may try again to bring Disasi back to Villa Park before the transfer window slams shut. Bournemouth are also hovering around, but Monaco’s interest looks the strongest.

Monaco’s defensive reshuffle

  • The Ligue 1 side recently sold Wilfried Singo
  • They are also looking to move on Mohammed Salisu
  • A defensive gap is opening up, and Disasi is being viewed as the ideal comeback signing

However, while Monaco want him on loan, Chelsea are insisting on a permanent transfer. That’s the sticky point. Omo, who go bend first here?

Lille president blasts Marseille over Zhegrova

As if the Disasi gist wasn’t enough, another hot drama is unfolding in France.

Lille OSC president Olivier Létang did not hold back when addressing reports that Olympique de Marseille have reached an agreement with winger Edon Zhegrova (26) on personal terms.

According to reports, Zhegrova is already preparing to sign a five-year deal with Marseille — but wait first, Létang says nobody from Marseille has officially contacted Lille.

Létang’s fiery words

Speaking after the UEFA Europa League draw, he said:

“I’m surprised because we have had no contact with Marseille. The rules are quite clear; you’re not allowed to contact a player from another club without permission. To date, I’ve not received any request from Marseille to be able to speak to my player. I heard this morning that the Marseille coach had spoken to my player. Surprising, but we’re never short of surprises with Marseille.”

Omo, this one no be small shade o! He basically accused Marseille of tapping up Zhegrova behind Lille’s back.

Lille’s Europa League journey

On top of all this transfer saga, Lille also discovered their Europa League opponents earlier today. They were drawn against:

Home Matches: Dinamo Zagreb, PAOK, Freiburg, SK Brann
Away Matches: AS Roma, Red Star Belgrade, Young Boys, Celta de Vigo

Létang added some humour, joking:

“It’s a long way to go until Istanbul,” where the final takes place.
