Drama has hit social media after a POS attendant, Grace Edet, threw shade at her former secondary school senior who now makes a living by selling ponmo.
Grace, who shared the video on TikTok, spotted the woman hawking and quickly reminded followers how “wicked” the senior used to be back in their school days.

She captioned the video:
“My wicked secondary school senior that year hawking Canda now.”
Omo, this one choke because social media people no dey carry matter play.
Nigerians React With Mixed Opinions
As expected, the video sparked plenty of reactions, with many rushing to the comment section to weigh in on the situation.
Some argued that selling ponmo is not a downgrade, but a serious money-making hustle:
- @better person wrote:
“If you check am well, she makes more profit than you on a daily. She fit use 2k buy canda, sell am 7k to 8k. Calculate am, you go see say she fit make profit of 20k to 25k weekly. But you highest wey you fit get for 100k na 3k.” - @Ozioma Doris762 added:
“Gain from kanda pass the one from POS.”
Others used the opportunity to drag Grace back:
- @deralovely2 joked:
“U sef na my senior that year oo… na POS else u dey do now… atasa 😂😂😂.” - @MIohammed Alex teased:
“And you’re doing POS – two different atasa’s 😭😭😂.” - @Nzubechukwu Victor Adizue commented:
“U dey do POS and she dey sell canda, both of una never still make am 😂.” - @kissmora concluded:
“No be POS you dey do?? You don make am?? Do you know how much she makes from that canda??”
The Hustle Debate
The clip has since turned into a wider debate about hustle dignity. While some supported Grace for mocking her ex-senior, a larger number of Nigerians stressed that there’s no shame in selling ponmo, especially since the trade can bring in more profits than a POS kiosk.
Omo, na here e clear say everybody dey hustle in different ways, and street no get manual.
