Omo! A Nigerian man has taken to social media to share a terrifying experience after he narrowly escaped a suspected “one chance” robbery attempt in Abuja.

The incident was recounted by @simplymusah on X (formerly Twitter) and has since gone viral, sparking fresh warnings to Abuja residents.

“I Usually Don’t Sit at the Back…” — Suspicious Moves Begin Early

According to the post, Musah boarded what looked like a RAV4 SUV. At first, he was the only passenger, but things got strange when the driver asked him to shift to the back so someone else could sit in front.

Omo! That was the first red flag — and sadly, not the last.

Shortly after moving to the back seat, a man dressed in all black with a cap pulled low over his face suddenly appeared beside him. Musah immediately grew uneasy and demanded the driver stop the vehicle.

But here’s the scary part — the driver ignored him.

Near BUA Estate, Things Took a Dark Turn

As they approached BUA Estate, the driver reportedly attempted to pick up yet another passenger — raising even more alarm bells.

“As I tried to come down, I felt something pressed against my side — it felt like a weapon,” Musah wrote. “The man beside me tried to control my movement. I screamed and shouted for help.”

Omo this is painful and scary at the same time!

With traffic about to move and security guards nearby, the attacker allegedly panicked and fled. Musah managed to force the door open and escape the vehicle just in time.

“Always Trust Your Instincts” — Nigerians React

The post has triggered an outpouring of concern across social media, especially from Abuja residents who say such incidents are becoming more frequent.

Musah ended his account with a strong piece of advice:

“Please, always trust your instincts.”

Final Thoughts

While authorities have yet to confirm the incident, the viral nature of Musah’s story is a strong reminder to stay alert, especially when entering unfamiliar private cabs.

Omo! In this Abuja, no be every fine car be ride — some fit be trap!
