Just when people thought May Edochie had apologized to Yul, her lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, has come out swinging with a full-on denial.
“No Apology Letter Was Sent!” – Emeka Ugwuonye Clears the Air
In a recent live session, the fiery attorney addressed the viral rumor claiming May Edochie had sent an apology to her estranged husband, Yul Edochie. According to him, that gist is completely false.
“There is nothing like that,” he said. “May has no reason to apologize. She is the one who filed for divorce. Yul had a chance to fight for a counterclaim — he didn’t. As it is today, Yul wants polygamy.”
“He Should Be the One Apologizing!”
Ugwuonye didn’t hold back. He emphasized that Yul Edochie, not May, should be apologizing — for choosing polygamy and allegedly causing the collapse of their marriage.
He urged fans and the public to disregard the fake stories making rounds online, insisting they’re just attempts to twist the real situation.
A Quick Recap of the Divorce Drama
Let’s not forget — May officially filed for divorce in August 2023, citing adultery and seeking ₦100 million in damages from Judy Austin, the woman Yul introduced in April 2022 as his second wife.
E no clear how that turned into an “apology letter” gist, but one thing is clear — May’s legal team says she’s standing her ground.
