Veteran British R&B singer, Jane Eugene, best known as the lead vocalist of the iconic 1980s group Loose Ends, has reportedly been arrested by U.S. immigration officials — and the gist? She allegedly overstayed her visa by a whopping 26 years!
According to multiple reports making the rounds online, the singer was detained on May 3, 2025, at the Niagara Falls border after she was denied entry into Canada. It’s claimed that she applied for a green card back in 1999, but it was denied — yet she remained in the U.S. ever since.

Omo, this is painful, especially for fans who’ve seen her consistently performing with the U.S.-based version of Loose Ends in Los Angeles. This new development might throw serious sand-sand in her music career’s garri, as she now reportedly faces removal proceedings and possibly a 10-year ban from re-entering the U.S.
As at the time of writing, Jane and her management team haven’t made any public statements to address the growing rumors.
