Barcelona’s promising winger, Jan Virgili, is suddenly at the centre of a hot transfer battle — and omo, this one is going to be interesting!

According to reports from Diario Sport, the 18-year-old, who recently impressed with Spain at the U19 European Championships, has caught the attention of multiple clubs this summer.

Mallorca Make Their Move

RCD Mallorca have been closely monitoring Virgili’s progress and are reportedly leading the race to secure his signature. Insiders claim the youngster is open to making the switch to Son Moix, especially after facing the prospect of playing in Spain’s 4th tier following Barcelona Atlètic’s shock relegation.

Negotiations between both clubs have already kicked off, with talks focusing on the structure of a potential deal.

Wait… here’s where it gets hotter!

Almería Enter the Chat

Just when it seemed Mallorca had the upper hand, Almería allegedly threw in a tempting offer. According to Sport, the La Liga 2 side has proposed €3 million (around ₦3 billion) for 50% of Virgili’s rights, along with a six-year contract.

Reports claim Almería’s management made it clear weeks ago that they are “extremely willing” to bring Virgili into their project, seeing him as a future star for the club.

What’s Next?

With two clubs actively chasing him, Jan Virgili’s future is now up in the air. Will he join Mallorca for a top-flight challenge, or head to Almería for a long-term project and a big payday?

One thing is certain — football fans should keep their eyes glued because, omo, this summer transfer drama is far from over.
