United States President Donald Trump has stirred fresh controversy after issuing a bold warning that he would authorize military strikes on Iran “without question” if the country dares to resume its nuclear weapons program.

The ex-president didn’t stop there — in a shocking twist, Trump claimed he personally shielded Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, from an assassination plot during the recent Israel-Iran conflict.

Omo, this gist is getting hotter… stay with me. 🔥

Posting via his Truth Social account on Friday, Trump accused Khamenei of showing ingratitude despite allegedly saving his life.

“I knew EXACTLY where he was hiding, and I wouldn’t let Israel or the U.S. Armed Forces — the most powerful in the world — end his life. I SAVED HIM from a very ugly and disgraceful death, and he doesn’t even have to say ‘Thank you, President Trump,’” Trump stated.

The former president also revealed that his administration had considered lifting sanctions on Iran but abandoned the idea after Khamenei’s harsh remarks.

According to Trump:

“We were working on sanction relief and other things that could’ve helped Iran recover fully and fast… but no, I got hit with anger, hatred, and insults. Immediately, I ended all efforts toward sanction relief.”

Meanwhile, Khamenei, in his usual defiant tone, dismissed reports that Iranian nuclear facilities were damaged during the airstrikes, boasting that Iran had “defeated Israel and humiliated the U.S.”

Omo, this one no be small matter o!

Trump didn’t hide his frustration over those claims, describing Iran as a nation in crisis.

“They are always angry and hostile. Look where it got them — a devastated country, crippled military, horrible economy, and death everywhere. No future, only more suffering,” he fired back.

Conflicting Reports on Nuclear Talks

Despite Trump’s tough stance, Iranian officials have denied any plans to resume nuclear negotiations with Washington. This contradicts Trump’s recent statement at a NATO summit, where he confidently announced that talks would resume next week.

Adding to the drama, Iran rejected a request from UN nuclear watchdog Rafael Grossi to inspect sites hit during the recent airstrikes, accusing him of siding with Western attackers.

Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, expressed cautious hope for peace but warned that further military action is still on the table if Iran presses ahead with its nuclear ambitions.

Trump concluded his message by bragging that Iran “got beat to hell” during the conflict, describing the current ceasefire as a golden opportunity to find a lasting solution.

In response, Ayatollah Khamenei doubled down in a televised speech, insisting that Iran had achieved “victory” over Israel and vowed to resist all forms of U.S. pressure.
