The internet is currently buzzing with shocking allegations against Big Brother Naija star, Samuel Jacob Alifa, popularly known as Sammie, as a young man has come forward claiming he was scammed of over ₦4.5 million with the promise of securing him a spot on the reality show.

The allegation surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) through a post shared by a user identified as @AssistantEbukaa, alongside a video exposing the situation.

Omo, the story long and e dey painful… stay with me!

In the viral video, a man identified as Emmanuel narrated how Sammie allegedly approached him, promising to help him become a BBNaija housemate — but the whole thing, according to Emmanuel, turned out to be a heartbreaking experience.

The video’s caption reads:

“BBNaija star Sammie took almost ₦5 million from this guy, promising it would push him to become a contestant during the audition, but the audition just ended and he wasn’t even selected.”

According to Emmanuel, Sammie allegedly kept requesting money at different stages of the process, insisting that it was necessary to secure the BBNaija slot. Things reportedly got so bad financially that Sammie advised him to take a loan.

Omo, you dey see levels? This one no be small play o!

In a desperate bid to meet Sammie’s demands, Emmanuel claimed he took a loan and even sold his car just to clear the debt — only to later realize he had been scammed.

In his words:

“My name is Emmanuel. I was scammed of ₦4.5 million by my brother from Kogi State, Samuel. He advised me to get a loan. At the end of the day, I had to sell my car to pay back the loan. What hurt me the most is that I wasn’t just scammed by a random person, but by someone I trusted and considered a brother.”

As expected, the video sparked massive reactions online as many expressed shock, anger, and disappointment.

See some reactions below:

@jaggyupdate: “Did Sammie even have that amount when he wanted to enter BBNaija?”

@crown2608: “₦5 million in this economy? Lock him up, Sammie no try!”

@miss_aproko: “Person wey no make am for BBNaija, na him you dey collect advice from? Dey play.”

Disclaimer: These are still allegations. Sammie is yet to publicly address the claims as at the time of this report.
