A Nigerian has been apprehended for the alleged robbery of an iPhone 13 Pro Max and attempting to sell it in a phone shop for the outrageously cheap price of only ₦30,000. Viral scene, the incident was made public by a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The post claimed that the suspect entered a local phone shop and endeavored to dispose of the high-end Apple gadget at a price far below its half-a-million-naira value. Suspicions were immediately raised by the staff on account of the behavior exhibited by the young man, questioning him further until he was detained.

The video posted therewith captures the chaotic scenes with many voices in the background expressing disbelief and disappointment; many uttered words of incredulity at someone daring to sell such an expensive gadget for so little, with others speculating that it was probably stolen.

During interrogation, he admitted, “I know that it’s close to half a million or maybe even more,” therefore confirming that around the time he tried to sell it, he knew or had an idea of how valuable that phone really was.

The video is continually being circulated online, eliciting a myriad of reactions from users who condemned the act and lauded the phone shop staff for their alertness.
