Sevilla manager Matías Almeyda has delivered good news for Nigerian football fans — Chidera Ejuke is fit and available for the club’s LaLiga opener against Athletic Bilbao this Sunday.

Omo, this one sweet die! From injury scare to opening-day action? Na proper comeback vibes.

Injury Worries Now in the Past

Ejuke gave Sevilla fans a scare last month when he picked up a thigh injury in training. The setback kept him out of action for weeks, but the winger made a return to full training earlier this week, boosting hopes of an early comeback.

Speaking via Sevilla’s official website, Almeyda confirmed the Nigerian international is in contention for the trip to San Mamés:

“Pedrosa, Ejuke, and Idumbo will be available. Tomorrow I’ll announce the players who will travel, and I always like them to know first.”

Omo, the speed this guy uses to beat defenders — Bilbao defenders better be ready!

More Nigerian Presence in Sevilla Squad

Ejuke won’t be the only Nigerian potentially making an appearance. His compatriot Jerome Adams is also expected to be named in the squad for Sunday’s clash. That means Sevilla fans could see a double dose of Naija flair on the pitch.

Big Test Away from Home

Opening the season away at San Mamés is never easy — Athletic Bilbao’s home crowd is famously loud and intimidating. But with Ejuke back in the mix, Sevilla have an extra spark in attack to trouble the Basque side’s defence.

For Ejuke, it’s also a chance to make an immediate impact in the Spanish top flight and show fans why Sevilla brought him in. And for Nigerians, omo, it’s another reason to watch LaLiga this weekend.
