Just when social media was buzzing with speculation about her retirement, Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has stepped in to set the record straight — and omo, she didn’t mince words!

Following Nigeria’s dramatic 3-2 win over Morocco in the 2024 WAFCON final, Oshoala, who has bagged six African Player of the Year titles, addressed the rumour during a media chat in Morocco.

“I don’t know where that came from but agenda must agend. I get it, but I’m not bothered. I’m still here. I’m still playing. I’m still doing my job. That’s what I’m focused on,” she said.

Omo this is going to hot, because fans have been debating her future for weeks — especially since she wasn’t always in the starting lineup during the tournament. But her presence in the final 23-player squad and key contributions behind the scenes have now been confirmed.

Let’s not forget who Asisat is! Since her debut for the national team in 2013, the Barcelona Femeni striker has stacked up the accolades — from her 2014 breakout at the U-20 Women’s World Cup to four WAFCON titles in 2014, 2016, 2018, and now 2024.

She also made history as the first African to score in three consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments, making her a certified living legend in women’s football.

So, to those asking “Is Oshoala done with the national team?” — she just gave her answer loud and clear: She’s still wearing the green and white!
