In his post, Ubi described his sister as “one of the kindest souls” he had ever known, someone who not only played a major role in his upbringing but also helped shape the Ubi Franklin the world knows today.

According to him, their journey together began after the death of their father in 2004, when he had to move in with her and her husband. That eventually led to the life-changing trip to Lagos in 2005 that marked the start of his entertainment career.

“CANCER WHY?” he cried out in grief, as he shared how her health began to decline in recent months.

He wrote about their final moments together—how he had visited her before his UK trip, unaware that it would be their last farewell.

Omo, this is painful… this life no balance at all.

He added that he tried his best to rush to Abuja when she was moved to the ICU, but sadly, she passed on while he was airborne.

What makes it more emotional? He didn’t find out until hours after he landed.

Still, in his pain, Ubi remained thankful for the time he shared with her and the many lives she touched with her kindness.

“This is one of the biggest losses of my life… But I will forever love you. And I know… you’re in a better place.”
